After teaching this normal tech class today, somehow i realised that they should be given a second chance..
It was during the last 20mins or so before i end my class, we actually had time to chit chat a little before the bell goes for next lesson.. so since they're sec 2, i asked them some questions to see if they're aware of their future ahead..
'so.. you guys know where you're going after sec sch ?'
and some of them goes..
'yea.. i wanna go ite first.. then go poly.. then go uni..'
well.. if were to ask me this question when i'm sec 2.. i probably haven't think 'that' far yet.. i mean, isnt it a very good attitude towards studies ? so what if they're in normal technical.. i believe as long as they got this correct mindset, surely they can achieve it someday.. i just feel sad for them as they need to go thru ite before they can go poly.. that will be another year wasted, just like my secondary 5.. it would be great to let them have a second chance to at least get back to normal stream..
come to think of it.. primary 6 psle really do make a difference in our lives.. as in for singapore's education system.. i was wrong to think that some parents are really too 'gan jiong', and keep pressing their children to score well for it.. (but not over-doing it thou~)
why the sudden thought about importance of education? lol.. it's pretty ironic that some friends of my age, are completing ns and going uni this year while i'm still waiting to get enlisted.. that refers to those friends who are in express.. then 2 years JC.. 2 years NS.. now going to Uni.. what to do~ only to realised it when it's all too late.. *humans~*
ok la.. it's just me then~ lol
good thing that my sisters are doing quite well so far.. joanna still in express..sec 3 now.. jolene always top few students in class..primary 2 now.. sometimes i wonder why the big difference in my results and their's.. probably its the food they eat.. modern days have better milk powder i guess.. yea.. i must be right about it.. lol~~~
